Typically a brewery looking to achieve certification will undertake a GAP analysis of their current brewing and management operations against the SALSA plus Beer Standard to identify areas of compliance and areas for improvement.
As Approved Mentors we can assist you with this GAP analysis which involves a day with you to review both processes and documentation.
The outcome of the GAP analysis informs you of the improvements or changes you might need to make to achieve compliance with the Standard.
Some breweries prefer to undertake the changes themselves others to outsource either all or part of the improvement work.
With our experience of brewery operations and our knowledge of the SALSA plus Beer Standard we can support your brewery through this improvement process.
On each anniversary of your audit we can also assist you with an annual review across the standard to ensure that your brewery continues to improve.
What is the SALSA plus Beer Scheme?
SALSA is the UK’s leading and most widely accepted approval certification for the smaller producer.
To assist brewers in achieving the Standard, SALSA offers a growing range of support services, such as mentoring delivered by companies such as Southern Cross Brewing, to see suppliers securely and affordably through to approval.
Structured to include several elements of ‘best practice’ adopted by larger businesses to reinforce their legal obligations and buyer confidence, the Standard is recognised by over 750 UK buyers, including ASDA, Ocado and Sainsbury’s, all actively using and endorsing SALSA for their smaller suppliers.
